1987 — Canadian Barbie

1996/7 — Inuk Inuit Esquimal Northern Canada Barbie

Created as part of the "Dolls of the World" Collector's Collection from Mattel. She was part of a duo with Eskimo Barbie.

1998 — The NBA Toronto Raptors Barbie

Funny enough, this Barbie came out 21 years before the Raptors won the NBA championship. Mattel was just ahead of their time, clearly. 

1999/2000 — Olympic Fan Canada Barbie

This limited-edition dolly was created to celebrate the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics.

2005 — "Inuit Legend" Barbie

This doll was designed by the Ryerson University Barbie Fashion Design Contest winner, Christy Marcus.

2013 — Mountie Barbie

From the 2010s "Dolls of the World" campaign from Mattel. She's an updated version of the original 1987 "Dolls of the World" Canadian Barbie. 

2016 — Hudson's Bay Barbie

This collab between Mattel and the department store had the goal of showing off "an independent, creative spirit" with this Barbie wearing the iconic yellow, blue, green, and red stripes.

2019 — Tessa Virtue Ice Dancer Barbie

Part of the Barbie "Shero" collection, this doll was made to honour the incredible figure skater, Tessa Virtue.

2020 — 350th Anniversary HBC Stripes Barbie

Mattel and HBC came together again to celebrate the brand reaching "oldest company in North America" status after turning 350 years old. Once again, in the signature stripes.

2020 — Tim Hortons Hockey Barbie

This might be the most Canadian Barbie on the list. This doll was created during Mattel's 2020 mission to redefine what being a "Barbie" means. 

2021 — Barbie Role Models: Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa M.D. Barbie

To honour front-line workers, Mattel collaborated with 6 amazing women who did tremendous work during the COVID-19 pandemic, and created inspiring dolls of them! Canadian physician, Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa serves on Indigo's Board of Directors, the Made of Millions Foundation, and is a member of the Canadian Medical Association Journal Advisory Board.
