7. It makes me want to get out of bed in the morning.
While I am lucky enough to love my job, I, like most people get hit like a bolt of lightning with thoughts of everything I have to do in the next 24 hours. The first thing I do each morning is make a coffee, arming myself with the caffeine it takes to accomplish everything.
6. It helps me person.
I believe myself to be a delightful person, but I just need my molecular structure to be rearranged each day to include the correct amount of caffeine. I usually find my personality at the bottom of my 2nd cup.
5. It comfortably adds change to a life of routine
Not many things change on a daily basis. Rather, most of us avoid change and cling to the safe feeling that daily sameness provides us. Our daily routine is a blueprint of our day, usually only varying on days off and weekends. But while coffee is a (much needed) daily routine, we have room for unlimited variety within that routine. The basics remain the same – caffeine, delightfully hot fresh brew, that feeling as we savor our sips, knowing that the more we put in our system, the better we will feel… but we have the freedom to changeup the flavor EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Hoping out of bed feeling like a Raspberry Rum Ball kind of day, or feeling like a boss today and wanting a flavor to match that hard as nails inner glow and reaching for a Chocolate Covered Espresso Bean. It’s routine and variety all in one!
4. In a world filled with responsibilities and stuff I don’t want to do, coffee is a little gift I give myself.
Like giving a dog a treat, or rewarding kids with ice cream if they finish their veggies, treating myself to a piping hot delicious coffee is my metaphorical ‘good job’ pat on the back.
3. It helps me fit into my skinny jeans.
Why reach for that Hershey Kiss or eat cookie dough ice cream out of the container when I can satisfy my sweet tooth with a calorie free/fat free option. I brew some Cinnamon Roll or Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble and get all of the sweet decadent flavor without the calories.
2. It’s simply just really freakin’ delicious.
I dare you to brew an Apple Crumb Cake or Caramel Brulee coffee and not walk towards the Keurig almost skipping with anticipation for letting your mouth experience the yumminess your nose is currently experiencing.
1. It’s good for you.
There are so many health benefits associated with coffee that I like to view each cup as a caffeinated vitamin. It has also been proven to boost your mood, which I desperately need, especially on Mondays.
