Animal Kingdom follows the Codys, a sexy SoCal criminal family.

1. The family is led by Janine “Smurf” Cody, the matriarch who calls the shots, literally.
2. There’s Baz, Smurf’s charming adopted son and leader of the Cody crimes.
3. Pope is the oldest who's back from Folsom Prison — as disturbed as ever.
4. Then there's Craig, the middle Cody boy who has a taste for drugs and excess.
5. Deran is the youngest who has his own turmoil — he's gay and in the closet.
6. And then there’s J, Smurf’s 17-year-old grandson who moves in with her and joins the felonious family.
7. The Codys may be living in the lap of luxury…
8. ...but the massive amount of money they make sure isn't clean.
9. Under Smurf’s direction, the Cody boys pull off elaborate robberies...
10. ...and some kidnapping when necessary…
11. ...and a hell of a lot of drug moving.
12. But a life of high-stakes crime isn’t without its down time.
13. These sociopathic sons always make time to catch some waves...
14. ...party hard...
15. ...and maybe sneak in a little action.
16. At the end of the day, the Codys are just like any other imperfect family...
