We Need To Talk About The Shade Jay-Z Threw At Beyoncé

He's got 99 problems, but we're digging up one more.

We all know the powerhouse celebrity couple that is Beyoncé and Jay-Z, aka the Carters.

They both have extremely successful careers, fame, and popularity based on their own merit, and together have collaborated on multiple songs, built a family, and pretty much ruled the entertainment industry for well over two decades.

But there's something that's gone left unspoken for far too long... until now.

Back in 2001, Hip-Hop legend: Missy Elliott released the album "Miss E... So Addictive" featuring the chart-topping hit song "One Minute Man". Although the music video featured rapper Ludacris, her album had a remixed version of the song guest starring, you guessed it, Mr. Carter.

Herein lies the problem. During Jay's rap verse he drops us a line that totally calls out his future wife and mother of his children: "Get your 'independent' ass out of here, question?" (whoops)

"'Independent' ass out of here, question?" of course, refers to Destiny Child's hit theme song "Independent Women (Part 1)" from 2000's Charlie's Angels reboot. A song that spoke of the independence and power of women, and questioned men's perceptions of female self-sovereignty.

Now, Queen B did drop Lemonade on the world back in 2016 airing out the couples drama, but should Jay be forgiven for this error in judgement? Or should he be looking for his stuff in a box to the left?

Because no one messes with Beyoncé. No one!

We're watching you Jay. Don't make us send Solange on you... again.
