During this new year, you should focus on creating new skills in the kitchen. Be adventurous with your meals and try new flavors. Get online or dust off the cookbook your friend gave you and try a recipe! You will not only be making wonderful new foods, but you are creating memories. So grab the flour and your mixer and let's get cracking!

For many reading is a way to unwind and learn new things. A good book can hold new things within it's bindings just waiting for someone to open it up. Not only does reading engage your brain and imagination it also is shown to reduce stress. Reducing stress is always good and it can help you fall asleep easier. So pick out a book and read before bed or on a raining afternoon with nice hot drink. Looks like a good book it just what you need in this new year.

During this new year you need to embrace your creative side. You might spend tons of time looking at crafts, but never have time to complete them. This year make the time, because you can create so many beautiful things. Being creative is great, find your passion and start. It can be a simple afternoon craft or something larger that might take a little time to finish. Pull up your sleeves and don't worry about getting a little messy. Maybe you could start with splatter paint art...now that sounds fun!
