8. The Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.
The Cadillac Ranch is a sculpture comprised of 10 different models of Cadillacs, all planted nose-first in the ground at the same angle as the Great Pyramid of Giza. Visitors to the site are welcomed - and even encouraged - to write graffiti on the vehicles.
10. The Neuschwanstein Castle in Schwangau, Germany.
This castle, famous for having been the inspiration for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, was built in the late 19th century in the exact location where two medieval castles once stood.
12. The Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, France.
The island of Mont Saint-Michel is located half a mile from France’s northwestern coast and currently claims all of 44 residents. Much of its visible surface is taken up by a large Gothic-style Abbey which was built in the 1500s.
