Five Things About "Look What You Made Me Do" That Made Me HOLLER

Taylor just dropped music for the first time in three years and it is the release we all needed. Here are some parts of the song/lyric video that had me pressing my Life Alert.

    1. Her sound

Taylor's "Look What You Made Me Do" sounds like a combination between Lorde and Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" and I am HERE FOR IT.

    2. The symbolism in the music video

From the obvious usage of snakes to the interesting new meaning to the color red, Taylor is absolutely reestablishing herself as untouchably iconic.

    3. THE SPEAKING PORTION

There's a difference between moving on from your past self the past and smashing it into pieces. Taylor opted for the latter; when she said, "Oh, 'cause she's dead." So. Was. I.

    4. The alluding to the next phase of Taylor

From country cutie to pop sensation, we all thought Taylor's career was the epitome of comeback, but she's not done yet. Taylor is embracing the next chapter of minimalist pop.

    5. The timing

For Taylor to drop this song first after her last hiatus, especially after both her recent legal battle with David Mueller and her falling out with Kim KW is monumental. Whether this song is specifically influenced by those events is unclear, but one thing is certain: Taylor is B-A-C-K, and she's back with a vengeance.
