    20 Ultimate 90s/Early 2000s Boy Band Songs

Some of these boy band jams you probably still sing drunkenly with your squad, others may have some scratches on the Sharpied mix CDs of your memory.

    1. "Back For Good" by Take That (1995)

This '95 hit is one of those songs that you'll remember once it hits the chorus. Take That called in quits in 1996, but reemerged in 2006 minus two members, and are currently touring, (hopefully in that boss hat).

    2. "All or Nothing" by O-Town (2001)

Before the Making The Band group imploded, and Ashley Parker Angel peaced out, they wanted it all. Believe it or not, they toured this summer in the My2kTour. Enjoy the frosted tips and bucket hats in this bad boy!

    3. "Summertime Girls" by LFO (1999)

Probably the worst song lyrically speaking ever written, but we did NOT care. Fun Fact: LFO stood for, "Lyte Funkie Ones". (Yes, seriously.) There's too many bad lyrics to pick the worst, but "Like the color purple, macaroni and cheese/Ruby red slippers and a bunch of trees" is a funkie front runner.

    4. "I'll Be Your Everything" by Youngstown (1999)

This Youngstown hit had to make the list, because Inspector Gadget is nothing with out this late 90s jam. The Ohio natives may have not done much after this, but we're #blessed they gave us this oh so 90s jam.

    5. "I'll Make Love To You" by Boys II Men (1994)

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

Hard to believe it's been 22 years since this baby-making track took the world by storm. Boys II Men are still touring too, and you can catch them in Vegas right now. Fingers crossed for the striped pastel button-ups!

    6. "I Want You" by Savage Garden (1995)

Do I need to say anything else besides, "Chic-a-cherry cola"? I think not. But in case you're wondering, the Aussie pop duo pulled the plug on the group in 2001, but still released a Greatest Hits album last year.

    7. "It Happens Every Time" by Dream Street (2001)

Ah, the flash in the pan that was Dream Street! How could this heart-melter not make the cut? Besides, prepubescent Jesse McCartney is everything. (Sidenote: JM hasn't released new music since 2014. *disappointed trombone*)

    8. "I Swear" by All-4-One (1994)

Long before a fat-suit-wearing Ryan Reynolds sang it into a mirror in Just Friends, this song was the slow-jam anthem of the early 90s. Crazy as it may seem, All-4-One is also touring right now. . . I swear.

    9. "Bump Bump Bump" by B2K (2002)

Big ups to Puff Daddy, (or whatever he's calling himself atm), for giving us this hip hop millenium masterpiece from B2K. Fun facts: Omarion was 18 in this video, and R. Kelly was the composer of this '02 smash!

    10. "Macarena" by Los Del Río (1993)

Admit it, you don't know any of the words except "Hey Macarena!" It's hard to believe it's been over two decades since this flamenco dance sensation swept the nation because you probably danced to it at a wedding this summer. Aye!

    11. "When The Lights Go Out" by 5ive (1998)

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

London boy band 5ive, (not to be confused with the Christian solo artist by the same name), had to two breakups before returning in 2012 with an ironic, three members. You can follow 5ive (Three) on Twitter. P.s. Get a load of those overalls!

    12. "Faded" by SoulDecision (2000)

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

We all know the version with the rap was the only version worth listening to. Alas, this Canadian boy band faded into the musical abyss in 2005, after 12 years together.

    13. "Pop" by *NSYNC (2001)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

As soon as you saw this video on TRL, you decided to (try to) learn how to beat-box. Be honest. Necessary Fangirl PSA: No true *NSYNC fan calls this song "Dirty Pop." It's just "Pop," so get it right!

    14. "True To Your Heart" by 98° (1998)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

When Disney movies and 90s boy bands collide, teenage girls cry tears of joy. Who can forget this 98° hit from Mulan featuring the legendary Stevie Wonder?! Though the four cuties broke things off in 2002, they reunited to heat things up again in 2012.

    15. "I Want It That Way" by Backstreet Boys (1999)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

Watch Nick, Kevin, Howie, Brian, and AJ perform choreographed dance moves in various parts of an airport for no apparent reason in the "I Want It That Way" video. Still unclear what it has to do with the song. . . but their '99 fashion is on fleek!

    16. "Juliet" by LMNT (2002)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

We all belted, "May-bay. Some day. You and me can run away!" back in the day. Fun Fact: Three of the five guys actually met as candidates for the 2000 reality TV series Making The Band, which resulted in the formation of O-Town. The boys of LMNT officially broke up in 2004.

    17. "Back Here" by BBMak (2000)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

Who didn't crush on the British boys of BBMak? While they had a few hits in the early 2000s, three years after this hit, the band called it quits. But we'll always have their epic Even Stevens appearance.

    18. "MMMBop" by Hanson (1997)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

The song no one really knows the words to "MMMBop", celebrated it's 20th anniversary this year. The Hanson brothers are still singing beautiful harmonies together. In fact, you can start off the New Year seeing them perform in Jamaica! (Spolier Alert: They grew up real good.)

    19. "Bye Bye Bye" by *NSYNC (2000)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

You totally thought having the stomps and waving hand motions down, meant you had the "Bye Bye Bye" dance "memorized." We all know how this story ended. Just two short years later, the fivesome split breaking all our hearts, and our bb JT rose to superstardom.

    20. "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" by Backstreet Boys (1996)

    View this video on YouTube

    youtube.com / Via youtube.com

Though the fellas of BSB aren't looking too "sex-u-al" in this video, it's the ultimate boy band jam. Backstreet has been back a few times now, and this time they're rockin' their bodies all the way to Vegas. Can you say, "Viva Los 90s"?!

So in conclusion, Generation Z, your boy bands can't hang with ours.

NOTE: To everyone's dismay, this playlist has every song but, "It Happens Every Time" by Dream Street and SoulDecision. What's up with no Dream Street on Spotify?! #Disappointing
