When Sims interact with babies to toddlers or when a pregnant sim is about to give birth, they say nooboo! Spelling confirmed by The Sims team.

Yibs has been used in all Sims games to mean Yes/awesome/yeah. Sims say it all the time when excited or agreeing with other Sims. Neeb is Simlish for No/Not/Never and can be heard when your sims are angry, sad, or rejecting someone.

How do you say "Yes" and "No" in Simlish?

Simolean is how you say money in Simlish but that is not its slang form. Simola is one of 2 new Simlish slang words for money in The Sims 4. You can hear it when sims ask for money/tips after performing in public. The other one is Simo (with only one M) which is used just as often, especially in Simlish music. Spelling confirmed by The Sims Team and Simlish scripts given to artists recording their songs in Simlish. The Sims 4 added a lot of Simlish slang to the game. How do you say "money" in Simlish slang?

Sul Sul is the main way to say both hello and goodbye in Simlish. Dag Dag being the other and more casual way of saying hello/goodbye. You can see the correct spelling of Sul Sul in social media posts by The Sims. The Sims 4 also added slang versions to both! You can simply say SUL or DAG to mean hey/hi/wassup or bye/later/see ya.

Yup, when sims in The Sims 4 get "check" in a chess match they say "Meck." When they get checkmate they say meck-chate! In The Sims 3 they say "Checkmar!"

When sims burn themselves while cooking, or start a fire they say "Haspa!" which means fire/hot/heat/burn in Simlish. The correct spelling can be seen in Simlish karaoke songs like Weekender and Hotter Than Sin written in the Simlish alphabet. While developing SimCopter (1996) designer [Will Wright](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simlish) explicitly avoided using real-world languages such that players could resonate with the emotions of the characters rather than their speech. He also believed that players would grown to show disdain for repetitive dialogue. So Simlish was born! Simlish then made its reappearance in The Sims as the official language of the game. It has evolved and adapted with each new The Sims game adding to its vocabulary, slang, and confirmed epressions!

The Creation of Simlish!

When Katy Perry was re-recording her song [Last Friday Night in Simlish](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCdjqy0ri-4), she changed one of the words in the script to Schnur, referencing Steve Schnur - The President of Music at EA. She enjoyed working with him on the Simlish recording of her song so much she gave him a shoutout! Steve Schnur talks about this moment in an [interview about translating songs into Simlish](https://kotaku.com/how-the-sims-translates-pop-songs-into-simlish-1832998368) for the games. So far this is the only time an artist changed a Simlish lyric to the name of a member of The Sims team! Usually, artists put in the names of their friends and family into the Simlish versions of their songs!

Vadish has been used consistently in The Sims games to show appreciation and say thank you. You can hear it when a sim receives a present or when a regular sim receives an autograph from a famous sim, and when sims receive love and attention from someone they love. It's quite sweet ^\_\_^ Simlish spelling is confirmed by official posts from The Sims. "Yob Ka Fweeb La Lurv" is Simlish for "I can feel the love!" Yibs is Simlish for yes/awesome. Chumcha is Simlish for food. Lurvoo means Love You.
