The highly anticipated fifth installment in the horror franchise is expected to come to theaters on July 7th, 2023 with the director being the franchise's very own Patrick Wilson.
Appropriately titled Insidious: Fear the Dark, it is to be set 10 years after the events that took place in the first two films with Dalton now in college. What follows is he and his father once again become tormented by the spirits they thought they were finished with all of those years ago.
After gaining such a cult following soon after the first film's release in 2010, much to director James Wan's surprise as it didn't have a significantly large budget. The franchise spawned a direct sequel with the Lambert family and two more prequels following that. Fans are eager to return to the Lambert family's story once again because they feel like their story wasn't over.
With the film beginning production in the spring of '22 and ending in August of '22, it is now in its post-production stage. That means fans can probably expect a trailer in the coming months.
