Hello Buzzfeed world! Teacher Kelsey here! I am a twenty-something teacher with a masters degree in education and a load of debt. I love making a difference in the lives of my special education students, but lets be real...teachers are not always raking in the dough.

I have thought about all of the part-time side jobs I can do:

Waitress? Done it. I have to give up all my nights and weekends and always end up bringing home leftovers. Nope.

Pyramid Schemes? Pampered Chef, Pure Romance, Scentsy, LulaRoe...Nope. I didn't have the money to start my own business and never wanted to make my family and friends feel like they had to buy from me.

THEN. IT. HAPPENED.

A teacher friend referred me to VIPkid, an online ESL learning site for young children in China. She told me that this side job of hers paid her rent.
