Mary-Kate Olsen And Her French Banker Husband Are Over

Another couple bites the dust while in quarantine.

It feels as if each week of the pandemic, a new couple announce their separation. The breakup du jour is Mary-Kate Olsen and her French banker husband, Olivier Sarkozy.

The couple had been together since 2012 and got married in 2015.

According to TMZ, Mary-Kate tried to file for divorce last month but couldn't because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But it gets even messier. TMZ also claims to have obtained documents that show Olivier set May 18 as the deadline for Mary-Kate to move everything out of their New York City apartment.

Mary-Kate is allegedly trying to extend it to May 30 because of quarantine guidelines set in the city, so now she has to file a divorce petition. With a divorce petition, Olivier has no grounds to get rid of her property.

It feels like just yesterday when Mary-Kate and Olivier were engaging in odd PDA and chain-smoking nonstop.

Well, I hope everything works out for Mary-Kate!
