"Judge Judy" Is Ending After 24 Years

    There's a silver lining, though.

Judge Judy is iconic. Judy Sheindlin can read people to filth like no other.

Here's some sad news: Judge Judy is officially coming to an end after 25 seasons.

The legendary judge will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, and in a preview of the upcoming episode, she revealed the news.

"I've had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS [Television Distribution, which distributes the show], and it's been successful. Next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary, and CBS sort of felt, I think, they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program because now they have 25 years of reruns. So what they decided to do was to sell a couple of years' worth of reruns."

But if you're already missing Judge Judy, there's great news: Judy has a new show in the works. "Judy Justice is coming out the year later [after Judge Judy ends]," she said to Ellen.

Tune in to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to hear more about what the legendary judge has in store.
