She is a straightforward woman who says things others are scared to say - She is a woman who gives judgements based on established facts and not on the opinion of others, so she is not scared to express her own individual opinion even when it is contradictory to those of the masses. She was not afraid to walk up to the fiery Jessica, the managing partner of the firm, and convince her to change her mind about sacking Louis. This got Jessica annoyed and even after she noticed that Jessica was infuriated, she still maintained her ground. She also confronted Harvey Specter on several occasions when she felt he was going to make mistakes that could be devastating. As a leader, you should be able to stand your ground on certain issues without being easily swayed or intimidated by the people surrounding you. Donna's the lady to go to. If you're about to take the wrong step, she'll point it out to you. We need more women who are as brave as she is in the world at large.
2. She is compassionate and accessible - She understands the way people feel even when they can't say it out themselves. She can identify when a person is going through difficult times and encourages them to open up to her. She is very sensitive to the needs of her colleagues. A good leader must be willing to give a helping hand to those in distress. This helps them to feel needed and important. It also makes them able to feel absolutely free around you and share their deepest fears with you.
3. She encourages people and bring out the best in them - She is one of the few who sees the good in others. She sees beyond the views of others and does not give up easily on people who have been neglected by others. She was the first to give Louis her support even when everyone had turned their back on him because of his back-stabbing attitude. This attitude exemplifies her personality and helps bring out the best in others. All women should possess the ability to bring out the best out of others. As a leader, you should be able to see beyond what people think about others. You should enshrine in them, the ability to be the best at what they do and instil unwavering confidence in your followers.
4. She possesses good inter-relationship skills - She oozes charm and has incredible skills in getting over seemingly difficult situations. She turned people away from disturbing Harvey with ease without them getting infuriated at her. She gives a listening ear to everyone which makes them happy being around her knowing fully well that she cares and wants the best for them. She is the envy of others due to these qualities that sets her apart from her colleagues. A good leader must be able to relate and express herself in such a way that allows others to see things from her perspective. She must be convincing and well informed so as not to derail her followers from the right path. She must know the right words she ought to use at the right time.
5. She is considerate of the feeling of others - She goes out of her way to get special gifts that touches the souls of people. She gifted Louis a photo-frame of herself from the play and told him that bitter memory becomes bitter sweet when it is shared with a friend. This got Louis astonished as he never anticipated something of such. She even helped HARVEY in getting his girlfriend a much more "welcome gift". As a leader, you should learn to give rewards to people and appreciate them whenever there is need for it. It shows them a sign of commitment and makes them willing to go any extent to achieve the best possible result. A little gift can save a life and can make people believe in themselves. Whenever people are rewarded, it triggers them to do the unbelievable as no one hates a good gift.
