Chance The Rapper Just Shot An Entire Music Video On An iPhone

"That's how the women who taught me how to pray look."

Chance the Rapper is known for doing things unconventionally, and his latest music video for "How Great" is no different.

Chance and his team shot the entire video on an iPhone and released it on Twitter with a prompt to fans to watch on their mobile devices with a locked screen for optimal viewing.

That aside, the video, much like the song itself, is simple yet powerful. Shot in black and white, it starts with Chance's beautiful cousin Nicole singing her solo front and center.

Next comes in a gorgeous choir comprised entirely 👏 of 👏 black 👏 women 👏.

Like, if black girl magic had a sound, it would be these girls slaying the harmonies of the classic gospel hymn.

When asked during his #HowGreat Twitter Q&A (by me) what made him decide to make the choir this way, Chance responded, "that's how the women who taught him how to pray look."

to give the best praise & worship possible. I wanted to showcase strength and fragility. Thats how women who taught… https://t.co/iNHhrqYlKz

Chance lets them shine too, not entering the video until the beat drops and his verse begins. I'm sure many have already taken a screenshot of his dope entrance.

"My dream girl's behind me, feel like I'm James Early!"

The video also includes a rare Jay Electronica appearance, which is always a treat.

All in all, the video can only be described as divine intervention. Seeing everyone involved come together and sing the song live will take you right to church.

*sings* How greeeeeaat is our Chance!
