Anna Faris and Chris Evans star in this hilarious romcom that investigates whether going back through your list of exes to find the perfect man is actually a good idea. There's also some pretty sweet scenes of Evans strumming a guitar while shirtless... and pantsless.

Katherine Heigl is, in my opinion, a romcom star. This movie proves no exception as it delivers crass but enjoyable one-liners while exploring the reality of romantic endeavours based around an impossible checklist.

While it starts in a pretty depressing way, this film builds itself back up with comedy and lovable characters that mix together to deliver one of the most original romcom plots ever.

8. How To Be Single (2016)

With a stellar female cast, this film takes a shockingly sober look at how complicated the modern-day dating scene can be, while also proving that all you really need in life is a good friend and a good drink.

9. This Means War (2012)

This is the most unrealistic love triangle situation in history, but that doesn't mean that Chris Pine and Tom Hardy literally fighting over Reese Witherspoon isn't exactly what you want to see. It's an epic battle that ends somewhat unexpectedly.

With A Christmas Carol-esque storyline, this romcom depicts Matthew McConaughey exactly how I imagine him to be in real life as he's shown the consequences of his past bachelor behaviour by three separate ghosts in an attempt to change his ways.

13. Keeping Up With The Joneses (2016)

While not the most traditional of romcoms, this film perfectly encompasses the reaction you'd have if a pair of covert operatives turned up in your average suburban street and entangled you in a dangerous international espionage plot.
