Dwight’s loyalty to Dunder Mifflin and Michael Scott is unlike any. Yes, he had some slip ups when he–in bad judgement–went behind Michael’s back to Jan, but he definitely learned his lesson from that and probably honed in on his laundry skills in the process. Following Michael’s fail at saving the dummy’s life during CPR training, Dwight came to the rescue with what to actually do following someone’s death. Check for a donor card and harvest the organs within minutes. Though this is definitely NOT the case, Dwight himself learned a lesson and taught one in the process. Despite the $3500 Dunder Mifflin had to pay for the dummy, Dwight learned not to actually cut up a human in real life and taught us what we should do instead–call 911.

When he had a wig for everyone in the office

Now, we know by now that identity theft is not a joke and millions of families suffer every year, but you never know when wigs just might come in handy. Dwight had a wig for everyone in the office, giving him the chance to get much-needed payback from Jim by dressing up as Pam and pelting him with snowballs. Now you may be thinking that this doesn’t actually teach us anything other than that you should have wigs of ALL your peers. FALSE. What this teaches us is that you should always be prepared for anything that life throws at you.

When he dressed up in a pumpkin head costume for Halloween

From Sith of Star Wars to Billy the Saw puppet, Dwight’s creativity shined through his Halloween costumes. His costumes really went above and beyond for Halloween and we gotta love someone who goes all out for the holidays. Now, apart from his legendary Jack-O-lantern get-up, Dwight teaches us lessons on creativity and optimism. Despite him being unable to remove the pumpkin from his head afterwards, he maintained a positive outlook claiming that the pumpkin would eventually rot off.

Dwight has taught us such an array of life lessons, but this is debatably one of his most important. Here Dwight teaches us the importance of thinking before we do something. Nowadays people often don’t think before they speak, so Dwight’s advice is more relevant than ever. After all, one piece of Michael’s advice that really resonated with Dwight for the rest of his life was to not be an idiot.

When he finally became manager

The moment we were all waiting for. As a loyal employee for way too many years, and someone who values hard work immensely, it was just about time that Dwight be appointed manager. Though his first reign was cut short after accidentally firing a gun in the office, he eventually got the permanent position--as he deserves.
