Response to CNN Panelist Calls Mitt Romney A “Religious Fanatic” For Encouraging Mormon Graduates To Have Families:
To be clear, I didn’t support Mitt Romney in his presidential run and fundamentally disagree with much of his political and social stances. However, in this particular instance, he isn’t promoting an asinine idea. There isn’t anything wrong with being encouraged to have a family. At a college that is overwhelmingly Mormon, I don’t think they mind this kind of speech. Romney is actually right where he needs to be, delivering his platform to his target demo. There is a reason, he didn’t become president, his platform wasn’t inline with the direction America is headed but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t belong anywhere. We all fit in somewhere and as a liberal, I completely support Romney taking position in a realm in which he belongs.
