With a new year upon us, it's important to make sure you make the most of 2018 at Staffs.

Join a sports team or society and bask in the feeling of togetherness.

Joining either a sports team or society can vastly improve your community feeling on campus, or make you feel more at home as you return to life in Stoke, Shrewsbury or Stafford.

Enjoy one of our club nights on a Wednesday or Friday.

Gobble on a Wednesday and Eclipse on a Friday are the places to be. If you've not been to a club night this academic year yet - then come along!

Set yourselves some goals for the semester ahead.

Whether that's to get all your work done before the day before your deadline, or to read a specific target in your project - set yourself a goal and try to keep to it!

Take up any opportunities that your course, or us, the Union offer you.

University isn't only a place to get the degree you want, it's also an awesome place to build your CV. There's plenty of opportunities for you to undertake and these will look awesome to prospective employers.

Set yourself something new and interesting in the new year, like learning a new word every week.

Keep your brain in tip-top shape by learning a new word every week, or take up a new hobby just for the year, like Karate.

Most of all, just enjoy the year for what it is. Ups, Downs, and everything in between.
