9 Things You Can Do With The Students' Union When You Get To Campus

The Students' Union offers a lot to your student experience, so here are some things you'll be able to do because of us when you get here.

1. You can shop at one of our TWO student shops.

From bog roll to bananas, we've got you covered. There's even branded merchandise like hoodies and mugs that you can show off at home.

2. You can grab a bite to eat in Verve, The Ember Lounge or Squeezebox.

Ice-cream, burgers, pizza, fries, oatcakes, jacket potatoes.. the list goes on. Whether you're a meat eater, a vegetarian or a vegan there's something for you to eat on campus.

3. You can join a society (or create one yourself)

From Skateboarding to Live Action Roleplaying, and Knitting to Film. If you have a deep interest in something, it's likely you'll be able to share it with other people at University. If there's not a society for something you love already, then you can always set it up yourself!

4. You can become an Academic Representative.

If you want something to put on your CV or just like helping people, become an Academic Rep. They (or you) help make changes to the course if people are having similar or regular issues.

5. You can come and work for us!

You can work in any of the bars, restaurants, shops or even in the marketing team.

6. You can have a great night out and dance the night away.

With two club nights a week, plus student-run events and the Ember Karaoke, you'll be spoiled for choice.

7. You can come and receive some sound advice.

Whether it's about your finances, your course or just something that's bothering you - we're here to help.

8. You can get a student house sorted with Greenpad.

Greenpad is our student letting agent, and they can help you find a house when your time in halls is up.

9. And finally, (perhaps most importantly), you can get a load of free stuff at the Welcome Fair.

The Welcome Fair is the perfect opportunity for you to grab a load of stationery, vouchers, pizza and much more for free.
