Chetan Bhagat's novel about a non-English speaking Bihari man falling in love with an English speaking Delhi woman, is now a movie starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor as the leads.
The trailer shows Madhav embarrassingly confessing to a panel of professors at the St. Stephens college that he isn't well-versed in the English language.
But then he meets, Riya Somani, his classmate and fellow basketball player, who is wayyyyy out of his league.
Several half-court basketball matches and drunken hang-outs later, Riya admits to being attracted to Madhav but she proposes the idea of being his "half-girlfriend".
She wants it to be no strings attached, but he wants a relationship. And being a man who can't handle rejection, Madhav misbehaves with Riya. So she leaves his ass and moves on in life.
But after melodramatically chasing the girl, watching her jam with random white people, and drinking copious amounts of alcohol, Madhav convinces Riya to embrace their problematic happily ever after.
