10 Simple Phone Hacks That Will Bring You Unlimited Happiness

1. Turn an old sock into a workout band.

Cut the bottom half off an old sock. Pull it up your arm. Fold the sock from the bottom (closest to your hand) on top of itself. Place your phone in the pocket.

PRO TIP: For comfort, use looser socks on larger arms and tighter ones for smaller arms.

2. Turn a wristband into a phone bumper.

Stretch a silicone wristband from one corner of your phone to the other long ways. Gently pull the wristband to the other corners one at a time.

PRO TIP: Large rubber bands can also be used. They can be easier to secure but apply less protection.

3. Use laundry clips to make a detachable cord wrap.

Glue two laundry pins together facing opposite directions. Stick one side of a piece of velcro tape to the thin side of the clothes pin. Tape the other to the back of your phone. Wrap your headphones around the clothes pins (or whatever cord you'd like). Keep attached or detached at your leisure!

4. Use two paper clips to make a phone stand.

Clip one paper clip to the handle of another. Rest your phone on top.

PRO TIP: The larger the clips, the sturdier the stand will be.

5. Coil your tangled cords with heat and a pencil.

Wrap your cord tightly around a pencil. Tape both ends to hold it in place. Use a blow dryer to heat each side of the cord for 1–2 minutes. Let cool for at least 15 minutes.

PRO TIP: This doesn't work with cords wrapped in fabric.

6. Put a cup in your shower to make an easy speaker for waterproof phones.

Leave a cup in a relatively dry part of your shower. Put the speaker end of your waterproof phone in the cup to create a shower speaker.

PRO TIP: Make. Sure. Your. Phone. Is. Waterproof!

7. Frame photos through your sunglasses for an easy polarizing lens.

Put your sunglasses in front of your phone camera. Snap rich polarized photos.

8. Use glow-in-the-dark tape to find your phone in clutter.

Cover the back of your phone with glow-in-the-dark tape. Turn out the lights to find your phone.

PRO TIP: Place the tape in patterns to make it look less unsightly in the light.

9. Point light directly at your phone to create natural IG filters.

Place a naked light bulb close to one corner of your phone camera. Angle the phone around the light to create your desired effect/filter!

10. Use a plastic bag to create a hands-free screen.

Place your phone in a plastic bag. Use a lanyard or rope to attach the bag to the back of a seat.

PRO TIP: This works well if you place the bag in the crease of upright tray tables on planes without personal entertainment screens.
