5 Facts About The Girl Band " Red Velvet "

It's been over three years since Red Velvet made their big debut with their first single "Happiness"! It is a band of 5 girls including : Irene ( leader ), Joy, Sleugi, Wendy and Yeri. Here are some facts about the group :

1. The name "Red Velvet" has a special meaning

The "Red" represents a fierce and attractive colour, while the "Velvet" represents a softer and more feminine image.

2. They were originally a 4-member group

Yeri didn't join until a year after their official debut.

3. On March 27th,2015 Red Velvet won their first music show trophy on KBS's Music Bank for 'Ice Cream Cake'
