1. Ruby Falls

Have you ever seen a waterfall underneath layers and layers of earth? I hadn't either until I visited the beautiful Ruby Falls! Located just outside of Chattanooga and deep into Lookout Mountain, is a 145ft waterfall...underground. The cave tours are opened year round and full of history, photo-ops and crazy cave formations! If you're into caves, waterfalls or just want to get the full Chattanooga experience, this HAS to be the coolest thing for you to see.

2. The Tennessee Aquarium

My personal favorite, the Tennessee Aquarium. In the heart of the city is one of the biggest and might I add, coolest aquariums I've visited. This aquarium is separated into two buildings: River and Ocean. Both buildings take you on a winding journey throughout the fauna and flora of these water ecosystems. Filled with incredbile walk-throughs, huge tanks and even interactive exhibits, this attraction is an absolute must for tourists and locals!

3. Lookout Mountain Incline Railway

This steep railway opened in 1895 and is still a hot commodity for tourists and residents today. At just $15 round trip per adult and $7 per child, the railway travels between the top of Lookout Mountain and the historic neighborhood of St. Elmo, Chattanooga. This definitely is a cool experience you won't want to miss when you visit this small mountain town!

4. Rock City/Fairyland Gardens

After taking the railway incline up Lookout Mountain, go check out this magical land! A strange yet incredible place full of scenic views and photo-ops! Words just don't do it justice. You'll just have to take my word for it and go see for yourself. You'll feel as though you've entered another world. The price of tickets are totally worth it and will make your trip to Chattanooga unforgettable!

5. The Chattanooga Market

Located at the First Tennessee Pavilion is the locals favorite, The Chattanooga Market. Filled with 130 artisans, over 50 farm stands and great live music to set the mood! This southern farmers market is a must for all of your baked goods, coffee needs, fresh produce and more! Only open on Sundays so be sure to plan your weekend accordingly.
