In Toulon, France, two women who were out with their family were accosted by a group of young men who began insulting them over their shorts because they were too "revealing."
They were confronted while the family, which included the two women, their brother, husbands, and children, were out exercising in a local park
A dozen young men began insulting the women over their shorts, while the men the pair were with tried to intervene and get them to stop. This ended with the men getting assaulted by the group of hecklers, causing severe injuries to the women's brother and husbands, all over shorts.
Police managed to arrest to two of the men responsible for the assault, and the pair are believed to have had previous criminal records.
This is not the first time this has happened either, back in June a young woman wearing denim hot pants was confronted by a group of youths on a bus, in the same area as the most recent incident.
Since then, though, a petition surfaced online that gathered 80,000 signatures in support of the victims of this harassment, as well as a march of support by around 100 women in Toulon, calling for an end to this kind of harassment.
