What YOU need to know
You are an undercover detective, posing as a butler for a rich family, the Casswells. One day, Mr. Casswell is found dead, with a knife wound and a tiny hole in his neck, but the knife isn’t physically there. His eyes are bright red and his lips are an unnatural colour. You notice a golden watch with the band torn and covered with blood. There were 3 people at the time of the murder, it’s your job to find out who it was.
Suspect 1: Arthur Casswell (son)
“Good morning Arthur.” You say to him. His left wrist is heavily bandaged, but otherwise, he looks normal. “What are you working on?” You inquire. “Just painting the walls, mother wants to change the walls after father’s death.” He replies. He holds the brush in his right hand and you notice spots of red paint. “What were you doing at the time of your fathers death?” You ask, noticing his red stained apron. “I was in my room, working on a science experiment.” You thank him for his time and leave the room.
Suspect 2: Alice Myers (housekeeper)
“How are you today Alice?” You ask politely, eying her up and down. She wears a chunky apron stained with something red. You notice she is holding a knife and is cutting tomatoes. “I’m… alright.” She replies wearily. You notice the knife drawer was open and you begin measuring the length and width of the knives to the wound. “The knife you’re looking for has disappeared. I needed it to chop the veggies but it was missing since last night, even though the murder you say happened in the morning.” You ask Alice about Mr. Casswell as a person, she tells you that he loved martial arts, in fact, she was polishing his awards at the time of his murder. You remember the bloody watch found at the crime scene, who could it belong to? You search the servant quarters but find nothing. You move on.
Suspect 3: Bruno James (butler)
You approach the garden and spot the butler Bruno. After some kind exchanges you move on. On his wrist he is wearing a fine gold watch. “What were you doing this morning?” You inquire. “I was fixing the garden, the neighbour kids kept trampling the flowers.” He replies sounding annoyed. “When was the last time you saw Mr. Casswell?” You ask. “Last night, he wanted a cup of coffee after his big fight with A……” He begins to cough his head off. “I’m so sorry,” he says between coughs, “but need water.” He rushes off and you notice he left a handkerchief stained with red.
