A Freakin' 12 Year Old Won "America's Got Talent"

    Not bad for middle school.

Some things happen every summer: sweat stains, BBQs, and crowning a new winner of America's Got Talent.

And this year it's 12-year-old singer Grace VanderWaal!

She's a ukele-playing singer who writes her own songs. She was so good at her first audition with her song "I Don't Know My Name" that Howie gave her the Golden Buzzer.

Throughout the competition, Grace performed original songs, and for the finale, she sang her tune "Clay" and it was pretty amazing.

    THAT RANGE.

Grace won a headlining show in Vegas and $1 million, some of which she wants to donate to charity. She also wants to go on Treehouse Masters to get a treehouse ’cause, you know, she's 12.

    Congratulations, Grace!

And here's a video with all of her performances if you'd like to see her ~journey~:
