So, in case you missed it, the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl on Feb. 4.
It was the first time they won, and they beat the New England Patriots, who have won a bajillion times.*
The Patriots quarterback is Tom Brady. He's married to Gisele Bündchen, supermodel and super mogul.
Tom and Gisele have two kids, Benjamin and Vivian. He also has a son, Jack, from his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Now let's jump to why you clicked on this post in the first place. USA Today reported that after the Eagles won this year, Gisele told their children that "They haven't won in a million years":
Just this time. Daddy won five times. They never won before. Their whole life, they never won a Super Bowl. You have to let someone else win sometimes...We have to share. Sharing is caring.
Understandably, people were pretty miffed over the report.
"We beat them. We EARNED it."
"What a classless remark."
"Brady didn't LET anyone win."
Flash forward to a few days later. Gisele posted on Twitter that she totally did not say those things, OK?
It's also worth noting that earlier in the week, Gisele also shared this congratulatory Instagram post:
The caption says:
Congratulations Eagles for winning the Super bowl, what a game that was! Congratulations Patriots for giving your best and to my love, we are incredibly proud of you because we are able to see every day all the commitment, sacrifice and hard work that you have devoted to become the best in what you do. We love you!
