Teachers, How Do You Feel About Returning To In-Person Teaching In The Middle Of A Pandemic?

We want to hear your perspective.

As I'm sure you're aware, schools around the world are planning to open back up in the fall amid the coronavirus pandemic. Some, like those in New Zealand, already have.

And while there's been a ton of discussion around this topic, there hasn't been much focus on what this means for the teachers who will be running the classrooms and potentially risking their lives, depending on where they live.

So, teachers of the world, we want to hear from you! What are your thoughts, feelings, opinions, and concerns about schools reopening for in-person classes?

Maybe you live in a place where COVID-19 is relatively under control, so you aren't as concerned, or even have tips for other countries.

Maybe you're a teacher in the US, aka where cases continue to surge, and you're worried about your health and safety.

Maybe you think re-opening should be pushed back in favor of virtual learning.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed by all the new social distancing measures you'll need to tackle on top of your already VERY heavy course load.

Or maybe, just maybe, you're angry and frustrated and sick of your work (and in many ways, your life) being undervalued and tossed aside yet again.

However you're feeling, we want to know. Tell us where you live and teach, and how you feel about your school reopening in the middle of a pandemic. Don't be afraid to get detailed and down to the nitty gritty, or even include photos of your classroom, list of procedures, gear, etc. We'll feature your responses in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post.
