IDK about you, but back in the day, I LOVED booking on vacation rental sites. It felt like such a great value and much more personal than a hotel.
But lately, I've been feeling a little differently. And after looking at these 16 photos, I think I'm good on booking any kind of vacation rental in the near future. LMK if you feel the same:
.This Airbnb host who tried to charge their guests for touching the thermostat.
.This vacation rental "bathroom" located ON THE STAIRS.
.This vacation rental that the host so graciously "upgraded" their guest to after canceling their original reservation.
.This hot tub that I'm convinced hasn't been cleaned by the host once.
.This "notice" to guests that makes me wonder why the hosts even rented out their home in the first place.
.This "piss yellow" water that a host refused to take care of.
.This entrance with the instructions, "The key safe is near the white door…it is silver with black plastic." 🥲
.These "kitchen rules" that basically say, "Please pretend like you don't exist."
.This note from a rental host who expected guests to tip after charging them a $250 cleaning fee.
.This rental that conveniently has the toilet and sink so close, guests can poop and wash their hands at the same time.
.This cleaning charge that's more than the actual fee for a one-night stay.
.These yellow sheets that I'd be scared to inquire about. 🤢
.This pool that might as well be a swamp.
.This note from a host that forbids guests from having sex under their roof(!!!).
.This rental that was supposed to be a "cozy flat" (I'll bet they still charged a cleaning fee).
.And finally, this knife found at a vacation rental that looks like it was used to murder someone.
