How Did You Convince Your Friends And Family To Get Vaxxed?

This is need-to-know information!

According to NPR, over 165 million people in the US have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (meaning they've received both shots of Pfizer or Moderna, or a single shot of Johnson & Johnson). That's amazing progress, considering that vaccinations are a huge part of the global strategy to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, there are still plenty of people out there who are hesitant to get the shot, despite the fact that it's more important than ever to get vaccinated, since cases in the US are surging thanks to the highly infectious Delta variant.

And when it comes to convincing vaccine skeptics to get the shot, the burden often falls on those closest to them (not saying it's fair, just saying it's the truth). So, if you managed to convince someone in your life to get vaccinated against COVID-19, we'd like to hear from you.

An "I got vaccinated!" sticker

Maybe you presented them with facts and science, and explained that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, even against the Delta variant.

Or perhaps you're immunocompromised due to a medical condition, and you made it clear to them that even though you're already vaccinated, their own vaccination is one of the only ways to help keep you safe from getting very sick and possibly dying.

Or maybe they're a red-blooded patriot and you told them that getting vaccinated is one of the ultimate civic duties they can do for their country and also the common good (which FYI, it is).

Or who knows, maybe you just flat out refused to see them until they got vaccinated, because you knew that was the only way to get them to stop dragging their feet.

Whatever your story, share it in the comments below! Or fill out this form if you'd rather stay anonymous. We want to hear how you convinced the vaccine skeptics in your life to get vaxxed and why it was so important. We'll feature your responses in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post.
