    How To Make A Chamango

Chamango or Chamoyada, whatever you want to call it, it's generally a blended mango drink with a special chile syrup and topped with a chile lime powder popular in Mexican sweets. Some refer to it as a mangoneada and while that's not entirely wrong, a mangoneada is really an alcoholic version of this while a chamango is more kid friendly.

1 cup of fresh or frozen mango chunks + more fresh chopped mango for garnish

    Tajin to your liking

    Tamarind candy stick(opt)

1 cup water, 100% mango or 100% orange juice

4-5 ice cubes(if using fresh mango)

    1 tsp chamoy sauce

Blend the mango and water or juice together. In a cup, add chamoy until it covers the bottom, then tilt it over slightly and around. You don't want it to drip out of the cup but instead coat the sides of it as well. Add your blended mango, garnish with a tamarind candy stick, extra chopped mango, extra chamoy, Tajin, and a scoop of mango ice cream or sorbet if you desire.

    * Chamoy can be found by the bottle in Mexican stores and some Wal-Marts. Otherwise, it's really easy to make and here's a link for that: mccormick.com
