Now that we are two weeks into the 2018 season of The Great British Bake Off, you are probably starting to wonder who you should be backing in the competit...
BLAHBLAHBLAH you should be thinking about Terry.
Let me explain why. In the first episode of the series, artist Terry announced that he was going to be baking 24 gingerbread biscuits decorated with little lambs for Paul and Prue.
Then, just before the end of that challenge, we found that Terry had yet to decorate a single biscuit with chocolate and lambs. This was rather difficult for viewers to watch...
...especially as we had just seen Terry so happily riding this horse.
This caused people to have feelings for Terry.
I mean, looking at this sequence, it is practically impossible for you not to have feelings for Terry.
In that week's technical, things continued to be bad for Terry. He came ninth in that challenge. Now ninth isn't that bad, but if you had a disappointing Signature, like Terry did, it makes you very likely to be leaving the tent that week.
So when Terry announced in that selfie Showstopper that he would be baking a mouldable 3D brandy snap biscuit, whilst everyone was making biscuits from a harder base, you immediately assumed that he was fucked.
But then, holy hell, what is going on Terry managed to pull it out of the bag with this 3D wonder.
Terry became the ultimate underdog all of a sudden.
You’d assume that because Terry made it through to Cake Week, he’d start to play it a little safer.
He breezed through the Signature, but his technical was a bit of disaster again.
Gosh, supporting Terry is stressful.
But Terry was so damn determined and ambitious in the Showstopper. The Showstopper was supposed to be a two-tier chocolate collared cake.
And then, in the final seconds of the competition.... ummmm..... errr....... oh god no.
