    Make These Golden Snitch Cake Pops For Harry Potter's Birthday

    Everyone who knows Harry Potter knows that the best birthday present you could give him is one of these:

    A golden snitch!

    But, if you can't get your hands on the authentic version, try the next best thing: golden snitch cake pops!

    Because frosting is a kind of magic, after all.

    Here's how to do it:

    1. First, make a cake.

    With mix, please, unless you're really determined to earn extra points for your house.

    Good job!

    2. OK, now crumble it up.

    Crumble it GOOD.

    Go on, get your hands up in there.

    3. Add 1/2 cup of frosting into your cake crumbles and mix well.

    4. Roll the mixture into balls, then freeze for 15 minutes.

    5. Heat up yellow candy melts to make the coating.

    6. One at a time, dip each lollipop stick into the coating and insert them into the cooled cake balls.

    So it makes a cute little puddle where they meet, like this:

    7. Now rock and roll.

    Keep swirling as you take each pop out to coat it evenly.

    8. Stick the pops upright in styrofoam to let them cool and harden.
