1 pound extra large fresh shrimp, peeled and butterflied

1 cup melted unsalted butter (reserve 3 tablespoons)

½ cup dry white wine

½ cup fresh chopped flat parsley

¼ cup chopped shallots

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

¾ cup panko bread crumbs

1 cup orzo pasta

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of ½ lemon, about 3-4 tablespoons

2 teaspoons salt


1. Preheat oven to 425℉.

2. Peel, devein, and butterfly the shrimp. Set aside.

3. Combine butter, white wine, parsley, shallots, garlic, salt, red pepper, lemon juice, and zest. Mix well and set aside.

4. Place shrimp in baking dish and completely cover with butter sauce.

5. Toss panko with the reserved 3 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle over shrimp.

6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until it’s bubbling and the crumbs turn golden brown.

7. Prepare orzo according to package directions.

8. Pour shrimp and sauce over orzo.
