1. Love, Rosie
Lily Collins and Sam Claflin (Finnick from The Hunger Games ) play childhood best friends who just can't get it together, featuring unplanned babies, proms, weddings and jerky exes. Bonus points for Ruby, the best quirky best friend of all the quirky best friends.
2. Love Actually
This one seems like a given. Hugh Grant dances down the stairs. Enough said.
3. About a Boy
Hugh Grant (he kind of owns British romantic comedies) plays a selfish adult loner who befriends nerdy teenage Marcus (played by a young Nicholas Hoult) and teaches him how to be cool. Toni Colette, who is amazing in everything, plays Marcus' depressed hippie mother and will probably make you cringe and cry.
4. About Time
Domhall Gleason (Bill in Harry Potter) travels back in time to improve the life he builds with Rachel McAdams (who works some intense bangs) and learns the consequences of messing with history. It's quirky yet deep enough to give you all the feels.
5. Bridget Jones's Diary
An early 2000's retelling of Pride and Prejudice, featuring Rénee Zellweger, Colin Firth and, of course, Hugh Grant.
6. Bend It Like Beckham
Kickass female leads, strict parents and shirtless Jonathan Rhys Meyers? Yes, please!
7. The Importance of Being Earnest (2002)
Honestly, this one's kind of confusing to sum up. But it's whimsical, funny and has Reese Witherspoon.
8. Notting Hill
How can you choose Hugh Grant's best romantic comedy? You can't. But Notting Hill features Julia Robert's best speech ever, so it's definitely near the top.
