What's Something That Customers Do That Just Signals They're Not Going To Tip Well That Needs To Be Talked About More?

If they're spending their sweet time at the table after the meal, don't expect much.

Whether you're a server right now or were one in the past, it's pretty much widely agreed that servers have always been asked to do way too much for being paid way too little.

But if there was any light at the end of the tunnel that is a long shift, it's seeing how much the customer left on that little tip line.

And sometimes it's less than you were expecting, but let's be honest, there are some signs you picked up that usually signal this person is not going to be tipping well.

Like being rude and standoffish from the minute you greet them is sometimes a sign that the mood will not be changing, especially when the bill comes.

Maybe it's the moment you hear that overused phrase that makes every server cringe, that "the customer is always right."

Or perhaps you notice their actions more than their overall behavior. Like when they personally follow you around to let you know that they need a straw or a new fork.

Have you picked up on a telltale sign that just tells you someone's not going to be tipping well or at all? Let us know what it is below.
