So, if you're like me, you love Friends (yes, even in 2021). And if you're really like me, you also love ice cream.
So naturally, there was an internal dance party going on inside my head when I saw this beautiful thing in the freezer aisle at my local H-E-B.
It's from the ice cream brand Serendipity. Named accordingly so, it's called "Central Perk Coffee Almond Fudge."
One pint retails for $3.89, and besides H-E-B, it's also available nationally at Giant, Publix, Safeway, Walgreens, and several other retailers.
Honestly, I'd buy just about anything Friends-related, but this ice cream was AMAZING. It had everything you could ever want in a single scoop.
It's literally Central Perk summed up in a spoonful. They understood the assignment.
The coffee ice cream can be tasted in every bite, but not in a way that's too overpowering. The fudge swirl is just the right consistency to melt in your mouth, but not stick to your spoon. The dark chocolate covered almonds are basically the cherry on top here, and pull it all together. Overall, I'd give it 9/10 scoops!
It's only a pint, so ironically, you won't want to share with friends.
But if that's not retro enough for you, or you're more of a movie person, no sweat. Because they also have this absolute winner of a treat!
Another classic that'll make you wanna start an '80s movie marathon ASAP while you're elbow deep in this pint.
While this might first appear to be your average rocky road, it surely isn't. This, of course, is "Sloth and Chunk's Rocky Road."
This was a great treat that wasn't too sweet but still satisfied my chocolate craving. The marshmallows were hard to find at first, but then they were scattered about plenty well the deeper into the pint I got. The almonds were a great size and shape that complemented the overall ice cream very well. I'd give it a final 8/10 scoops!
