    Target Launched An Exclusive Skincare Line And It's So Damn Chic And Fresh

    Meet Sailor, your new favorite nature- and nautical-inspired BFF!

    We hope you love the products we recommend! Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales from the links on this page. Oh, and FYI β€” prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    Beauty lovers, say hello to Sailor, Captain Blankenship's new, unisex, cruelty-free, vegan, and exclusive-to-Target skincare line! 🌊 πŸŽ‰

    Inspired by founder Jana Blakenship's family vacay in Greece, Captain Blankenship (already well-known for their gorgeous organic mermaid-y hair products) is deepening their foray into skin care with their Sailor line with four products (the fifth is a hair product) at *super affordable* price points, $14.99 or $19.99.

    These beautifully frosted glass bottles (100% recycled and 100% recyclable) are filled with nature's best, plant-based ingredients (orange groves, juniper, and blue chamomile, oh my!), clean and slightly less perfumed scents, and toned-down packaging* that people of all genders would love. The idea is that, if you and your friends or family were to go on a trip, these five products would meet everyone's needs! πŸ‘«

    *actual guy approved β€” I (very gently) forced someone to test out the products and he was a big fan of the ~lewk~ and the "splash of color" it added to his bathroom shelf. He also felt "refined" and "proud having a cohesive set of products set up in a line."

    And, without further ado, here are the fresh, plucked-from-the-sea products:

    Sea Splash Face Cleanser gets your beautiful mug back to ground zero, AKA clean, smooth, and soft like a (red grapefruit and juniper berry scented) baby's bottom!

    @juliannablizzard / Via

    This is my personal favorite product from the line! I don't think I've tried a face cleanser in spray (and not like just a straight-up pump) form before β€” it doesn't add anything to the experience, but it's kinda novel IMO β€” and it's cool that it still has this gel-like consistency, which I didn't expect (I prefer that sort of texture to a more watery sort).

    I just spray into my hands, warm it up by rubbing, and then work it into my skin. It's like a breath of fresh air, like being on a boat β€” let me imagine, ok! It's gentle, non-stripping (my #1 requirement for cleansers), but gets rid of all the day's gunk, end of story.

    Get it for $14.99.

    Sea Mist Refreshing Toner rebalances your skin's pH and replenishes hydration levels so you're back to your fresh-faced, dewy self in a matter of a few spritzes.

    @juliannablizzard / Via

    I love skincare products that come in mist form!! The usual problem with that is the mists themselves are usually too weak for my liking, but this one is perfect. Each pump is potent, so you don't go spritzing crazy and feel like you're wasting product. Plus, the mist feels *extra* refreshing/rebalancing your face right after cleansing.

    This was also my dude tester's favorite product! It's like a "big boy equivalent of cologne" (but for your face...?).

    Get it for $14.99.

    Smooth Sailing Gentle Resurfacing Mask clarifies congested skin with a healthy dose of AHAs that originate from organic pineapple, papaya, and apple extracts so your face looks like a soft blank slate ready to be filled with art (essence, serum, and moisturizer).

    @juliannablizzard / Via

    So you can have that just-got-back-from-the-tropics glow without the overpriced airfare! I've heard that pineapple is a natural exfoliant and this bb proves that β€” bye roughed-up, dead skin cells, this is the most gentle and agreeable farewell you can get, TBH.

    Get it for $19.99.

    Deep Blue Face Moisturizer lets blue chamomile truly shine, both in appearance and results β€” its ultra soothing properties give your face that extra lift of calmness and plumpness it truly deserves.

    @juliannablizzard / Via

    Blue-colored creams are such a big thing and I hope they never fade away. They just add an extra level to the whole ~soothing~ vibe. In addition to blue chamomile, jojoba, pomegranate, calendula, and camellia oils also make sure your face stay calm and balanced, while wild rose, aloe vera, and marine extracts lock in hydration. The texture is not super thick, so it absorbs quickly and works wonderfully as a day cream (in addition to night) underneath sunscreen, makeup, and all that.

    Get it for $19.99.

    Sea Salt Refresh Hair Spray has dry shampoo properties, so it leaves your hair gorgeously textured AND gives off the impression that you've just washed it (when, in reality, it's been a while).

    @juliannablizzard / Via

    Chamomile nourishes and witch hazel adds shine, and to top it off, lemongrass, pine and rosemary essential oils leaves a scent that may (read: will definitely) attract curious sniffers. Am I talking about humans? Puppers? Friendly ghosts? Only one way to find out. πŸ’πŸ’¨

    Get it for $14.99.

    Shop the whole line at Target right now!

    And shop other Captain Blankenship products on Amazon, Sephora, and Anthropologie!

    So, in conclusion, my general consensus of this line:
