One little thing the Huffington Post article on Academy Award winning actress Anne Hathaway's tour around Philadelphia area colleges and universities forgot to mention was her proclamation for First Lady Michelle Obama to come to Bryn Mawr College as the commencement speaker for the graduating class of 2017!
Over the past several weeks, Bryn Mawr College students, faculty, staff, and alum have been sharing posts on social media trying to get Mrs. Obama's attention. Under the hashtag #MichelleattheMawr, the buzz around the social media campaign has captured the attention of ABC6 through sharing Bryn Mawr's promotional video.

The BMC Class of 2017 has begun a campaign to bring First Lady Michelle Obama to speak at their graduation. They believe the College's mission to forge powerful women through rigorous academics and close-knit community mirrors her advocacy for women's education, both nationally and internationally.
