    The more sugar, the better TBH.

    So when we heard Sugarfina and Casamigos were teaming up to make tequila-infused gummies, we *KNEW* we had to give them a try.

    The collaboration features three candies: "Shake Your Margarita" (margarita flavored, DUH), "Paloma Por Favor" (tequila grapefruit sour flavored), and "Give It A Shot" (tequila chocolate cordials). Even though all three are made with tequila, only the chocolates had alcohol — 5% by volume.

    Would the marriage of tequila and candy be a match made in heaven? Or were our taste buds doomed? Here's what we thought...

    First up, we tried "Shake Your Margarita."

    Here's what Chris thought:

    Chris's thoughts:Tequila infusion aside, these are just pretty good gummy candies that could be eaten casually. The margarita taste is super subtle, which is actually really dangerous, because they’re so easy to eat you could just keep scooping ‘em into your mouth until suddenly the entire package is gone. They’re not the most unique gummy in the world, but I’m definitely down to get gummy wasted on these things!

    Sam's thoughts: This candy was pretty good! It tasted kind of like a margarita made with cheap mix (that's a good thing). You even get a hint of tequila. The best part is, even if you finish the entire container, you won't get a hangover (although the same can't be said regarding a major sugar rush). These were very, very solid.

    Chris's thoughts: THESE ARE MAGNIFICENT! They’re covered in a little layer of sugar (which is always a good thing) and they have a pleasant, tangy flavor! I was actually so focused on the delicious gummy part that I didn’t really notice a hint of tequila, but the candy itself is A+ in my book and I’d treat myself to something like this regularly. My sweet tooth was satisfied!

    Sam's thoughts: This candy is DELICIOUS, and my favorite of the three by far (that being said, I'm one of those people who thinks Sour Patch Kids are one of the main food groups). It's the perfect combination of sour and sweet, even though it was more of a grapefruit candy than a tequila one — which is fine by me, seeing as my body is 70% Pamplemousse LaCroix.

    Finally, we tried "Give It A Shot."

    Here's what Chris thought:

    Chris's thoughts: It's confusing to taste chocolate (that you associate with happiness) and tequila (that reminds you of hangovers) all at once. The chocolate part was delicious and perfect, but that tequila besmirched TF out of my taste buds and I was very not into it. That being said, I’m biased because even the smell of tequila by itself makes me nauseous thanks to my unpleasant encounters in the past, but if you kind of want to do shots but also kind of crave a box of chocolates, look no further.

    Sam's thoughts: This was the most tequila-y of all the candies. I'm not one of those people who's had a bad tequila experience before and has sworn off of drinking it, but we're also not BFFs. Listen, this is GOOD chocolate and GOOD tequila (as Ina Garten would say). But the flavor combination seems a bit mismatched — and NOTHING prepares you for the rush of tequila when you bite into the candy, as you can see by my above reaction. As my coworker Brian put it, "This tastes like bad Friday night decisions." He loved it, FWIW!

    Sam's rating: 2/5 (but if you love tequila it's MUCH higher)

    Overall, the consensus was the "Paloma Por Favor" was the best candy, and "Shake Your Margarita" was decent. Only serious tequila fans should give "Give It A Shot" a shot.
