I've been rewatching some of my favorite movies recently (like Mean Girls) so I decided to give this one a spin. And after rewatching, I have a BUNCH of questions.
1.First of all, who are these well-put-together women in the initial montage at the beginning of the movie, who stand in stark contrast with Andy?
2.Like what do they do for a living? What are their names? Do they work at Runway?
3.Emily mentions Miranda's first assistant recently got promoted. Is she still working at Runway? Like, do we see her at any point in the movie?
4.OK, so I'm pretty sure I've asked this before, but why is Andy asking who Miranda is? Not only does she want to get into journalism, but she is LITERALLY interviewing at Runway. Shouldn't she know who her potential boss is?
5.Everyone is frantically cleaning and preparing for Miranda's arrival, but why didn't they just not make a mess in the first place? She's going to have to show up at SOME point anyway!
6.Andy mentions she basically only can find work at this or Auto Universe. Is there an alternate timeline (and therefore movie) where she gets a job there instead? Because that would be AMAZING.
7.OK, I know Miranda makes a lot of ridiculous requests, but this one seems particularly ridiculous — all the other ones seem like they can be figured out. How did Andy (and Emily, for that matter) ever figure out WHICH skirts she needed?
8.How did Andy apply to law school AND look for journalism jobs at the same time? That seems incredibly time consuming, and they're two totally different career paths!
9.Again, another Miranda request that seems particularly insane. Why didn't she just leave Miami early? Wouldn't the whole city be shutting down? Also, Andy could have gotten her out of there early too!!! She kind of failed that part of her job.
11.And it's also been discussed, but why are Andy's friends the worst too?! She literally just gave them thousands of dollars of free shit, and they're playing hot potato with her phone while her boss is trying to call!
12.Why the HELL does Andy head upstairs to give the twins The Book? She's literally breaking MULTIPLE rules Emily laid out to her, just as she was getting the swing of things!
13.Andy works at Runway, but she makes a few questionable outfit choices AFTER she gets her big makeover. Are we supposed to be impressed with this outfit? It looks horrible and over-accessorized!
14.Honestly, how did Emily not die when she got hit by the cab? HOW?!
15.Miranda introduces Andy to Valentino as her "new Emily." Instead of calling these young women her assistant, does Miranda just introduce the new one by the previous one's name?
16.HOW DID ANDY NOT SET AN ALARM IN PARIS LIKE COME ON?!
17.Again, why is Nate the worst and being such a friggin' dick when Andy is clearly trying to apologize?
18.And finally, what thought of Andy could Miranda possibly be reminiscing about here that makes her crack a smile for the first time all movie?! I NEED TO KNOW!
OK, BRB, going to watch the movie yet ANOTHER time.
