    Dog Doctor Provides Hope And Happiness At Children's Hospital

    When you're feeling down, sometimes a fuzzy friend is all you need.

    He's a Labrador Retriever who, due to a birth defect, had a kidney removed.

    So he completely understands how these kids feel at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

    Vito's rounds can last for quite some time, but he doesn't mind one bit.

    "Dogs always just make me happy because they're happy," said Dalton Miller, who is battling acute myeloid leukemia in the hospital.

    For the kids, and their parents, Vito's cheerfulness can brighten up some scary days.

    "It's one of our favorite parts," said Aiden Knox, a 10-year-old with a rare form of bone cancer.

    "I tell the kids all the time that, here's living proof of how good you can be. You can feel wonderful and be anything you want to be," said Vito's owner, Lori Barrante.
