Need more convincing? Here are some of the amazing shows and moves you can stream on Amazon Video:

    1. Midsommar

This horror film, featuring Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, and Will Poulter, follows an American couple who travel to Sweden for a midsummer festival and end up trapped in a pagan cult. It came out in July 2019, was praised by critics, and is now available for streaming on Amazon Video.

    2. 30 Rock

This workplace comedy series featuring Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, Alec Baldwin, and more is set behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy show that airs on NBC — makes sense considering its executive producer is the creator/producer of SNL, none other than Lorne Michaels. The show was taken off Netflix years ago, but thankfully all seven seasons are available to Prime customers.

    3. Lady Bird

    IAC Films

Directed by the iconic Greta Gerwig, this coming-of-age dramedy centers around a high school senior's strained relationship with her mother and features Saoirse Ronan, Laurie Metcalf, Timothée Chalamet, Beanie Feldstein, and more. Plus, it has five Oscar nominations to its name — not too shabby.

    4. Hell's Kitchen

    ITV Studios

This cooking competition show hosted by Gordon Ramsay brings plenty of snarky, sometimes even scary comments to contestants facing off for the role of head chef at one of Ramsay's restaurants. Seasons 1–17 are included for Prime members.

    5. No Strings Attached

    Paramount Pictures

This rom-com centers around two friends (played by Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher) who make a pact to have a "no strings attached" relationship. Well, surprise surprise, they end up falling in love. It's the kind of cheesy plot that makes rom-coms so wonderful.

    6. SpongeBob SquarePants

This timeless animated series is beloved by both kids and adults alike for its feel-good humor and lovable characters. Yes, I'm 25 years old, and yes I still love the show. Prime members can stream seasons 1–5 for free.

    7. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Each episode of this popular drama series features new cases to solve, with episodes very loosely based on real crimes as it follows the style of the original Law & Order. Fun fact: the show has received 91 award nominations. Prime members can stream seasons 1–5 and 19–20 for free.

    8. Parks and Recreation

This political satire series set in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana follows Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and the hilarious shenanigans the Parks and Rec department find themselves in as they try to make their town a more fun place to live. Prime customers can stream all seven seasons.

    9. Marvel's The Avengers

    Marvel Studios

This beloved action film unites everyone's favorite superheroes — Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and more. This film unsurprisingly broke tons of records, including best opening week AND weekend for any film and highest-grossing superhero film.

    10. Downton Abbey

This very popular British historical drama follows the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the early 1900s. It depicts real-life historic events from the time period (think World War I and the sinking of the Titanic) and the effect they had on their lives. Prime members can stream all six seasons.

    11. RuPaul's Drag Race

    Logo TV / VH1

Famous drag queen RuPaul is a host and mentor in this show-stopping drag queen competition series. Each season, they look for America's next drag superstar through a series of weekly challenges. Seasons 1–5 are available to Prime members for free.

    12. A Simple Favor

This suspense comedy based on the novel of the same name is about a small town mommy vlogger (Anna Kendrick) who seeks to uncover the truth behind her wealthy best friend's (Blake Lively) mysterious disappearance. Need I say more when you have an actor duo like this?

    13. Chasing Happiness

This Amazon Original documentary about Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas provides an in-depth history on their band's roots, the story that led to their 2013 breakup, and a glimpse into the healing process that brought them back together again.

    14. Veep

As you may have guessed by its name, this award-winning show centers around the life and career of fictional vice president of the United States, Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who later becomes president. Prime members can stream seasons 1–2 for free.

    15. Book Club

    June Pictures

A group of four friends (Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen) decide to read Fifty Shades of Grey as part of their monthly book club — it leads them to chase new romances and rekindle old ones in this hilarious rom-com.

    16. Sesame Street

    PBS / HBO

For those at home with the kiddos, keep them entertained with this show that can help them learn all sorts of important lessons like counting, the alphabet, sharing, and friendship. Seasons 36–40 are free for Prime customers.

    17. Pretty in Pink

    Paramount Pictures

A classic '80s teen rom-com centered around love and social cliques — perfect for those who've seen it before and can't get enough of it, or those who are in for the treat of watching this cult classic for the first time.

    18. Sex and the City

Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) is a writer navigating dating and life in general in Manhattan with her friends, and applying her findings to her weekly column. All six seasons are included with Prime.

So if you're ready to spend some time with back-to-back episodes of 30 Rock or finally getting around to watching Lady Bird because you missed it while it was in theaters, don't forget to sign up for your 30-day free Prime trial and start watching ALL of the greats shows and movies on Amazon Video!
