36 Genius Pet Products That’ll Be A Must-Have This Winter

It's cold outside and we want to spare you unnecessary trips to the store and the vet.

    1. A snout soother stick to provide some much-needed relief to your dog's chapped/crusty nose.

reviewer's dog before using the snout soother stick
the same dog's nose now clear of crust after using the snout soother stick

This snout soother is organic, vegan, and made with all-natural ingredients!

Promising review: "Well, I have never before been so shocked at the effectiveness of a product. Our 5-year-old Frenchie, Carol, had a nose that was so crusty, it was sprouting these long strands of more crust. There was literally crust on crust on crust. The nose had strings of crust. This nose was so crusty and repulsive, it was almost beautiful. Her nose might have resembled the rarest, most exotic geode to be mined from the rarest mine in Guatemala. A friend recommended this snout soother for Carol's repulsive nose. I was worried she would just lick it all off and it wouldn't work. We never imagined she could have a regular, soft, moist nose again. Honestly, this product is some black magic stuff! Unbelievable results in three to five days. No one paid me to write this." —Brittany

    2. Lifting pads you can just press down into rug stains — ya know, things from your beloved pet like dirt, urine, and more. Keep it there for up to 24 hours and say, "Adios, stains!"

Promising review: "These things are AMAZING. They are magical. If you have a pet who has accidents in the house, these are a MUST-HAVE. After your pet has an accident, all you need to do is open up the packet, place the pad on the accident spot, and then step on the pad to release the magic formula. Leave it there for at least half an hour or up to 24 hours. Why the discrepancy, you might be asking? Because these pads work on DRIED STAINS. Holla!!!! My puppy has been driving me bonkers with accidents in the house, but I don't sweat it anymore thanks to these pads. They are seriously miracle-workers, and I will always have a supply of them in my house going forward." —Lisa Koivu

Promising review: "Oscar gets really bad infections around his right eye; it causes his whole area to get red and crusted up. We tried this and it worked great! Even after the first use we could see a big difference. I don't use it as directed, maybe once a day but it still works great. Will absolutely buy again. P.S. forgive the before pic (left); he was helping me size baby hats I was making. No cats were tortured; he just acts like he was." —April Mcleod

The same fish tank's walls now looking crystal clear after using the cleaning magnet

Promising review: "Does a fantastic job cleaning the algae — even old stubborn buildup growth — off the inside of my glass aquarium. Works even better than I expected, and the felt pad on the bit that's in contact with the outside of the glass does a decent job cleaning off any water spots and finger/handprints. Also, I have degenerative osteoarthritis, peripheral and small-fiber neuropathy, and hEDS (among other issues), all of which make it very difficult for me to do much of anything with my hands. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to use this thingy, but it was a lot less difficult than I thought it would be." —Frankie

Promising review: "The smell was amazing! Even my pickiest didn’t mind having this on his paws and he hates a lot of smells. It melts in quickly and leaves the paws soft and smooth. It does leave grease tracks on the floor so I wouldn’t use this on my carpet — I try to keep them to the tile until the paw butter absorbs into their paw. The product works well and smells good." —Jayme M

Promising review: "Our dog HATES getting her nails done, and I got sick of paying someone every few weeks to do them. We’ve tried clippers and other file systems, but have had very limited success. This has already paid for itself by avoiding three trips to the doggy salon now. It’s easy to set up, charges quickly, is easy to hold, and works fast. Other trimmers have taken forever to make almost no noticeable difference in her nails, but this is fast and strong enough to allow me to hit each nail for just a few seconds and be done. 12. A cat dander spray infused with oat flour and aloe vera to condition your kitty's dry skin and help reduce flaking.

Promising review: "We have an overweight cat that has trouble grooming her back. She was so full of dandruff and greasy fur that I hated petting her We took her to the vet, and he thought it was allergies. We tried prednisone for a while, and it was clear she was less itchy, but the dandruff remained. The vet suggested different food, so we switched to a different flavor (different ingredients) in the same line, and there was no change. Our poor girl looked miserable. We decided to try a bath, but she's 13-years-old so we knew she wouldn't enjoy it. While looking for a shampoo for her, I came across this product and decided to try it before torturing her with a bath. After the first application there was a huge difference! After the second application, her dandruff is GONE. We spray her down and then brush her. She is so soft and shiny! She finally looks healthy, and feels good to pet." —Amber Steele

We just built a house with all tile floors — it’s very dusty from the new construction. My floors look amazing. If you’re on the edge, just do it. Promising review: "So far so good. Our wee kitty does get a bit violent about her catnip, but once she gave up trying to get into the catnip chambers, she immediately started scratching her chin and cheeks with it. Back in 2020, my family made a wonderful decision to get an adorable Havanese puppy named Bailey (pictured left). He slept like an absolute angel the first night we brought him home so when he kept us up for six.whole.hours the night after and wouldn't stop crying the next day, we knew we needed to try something fast. A family friend recommended the Snuggle Puppy. Within a half hour of putting the little heart ticker into the stuffed toy and putting it in Bailey's crate, he was quiet and fast asleep while cuddling up to his new toy.

Two years later, the Snuggle Puppy is still Bailey's favorite toy — we just don't keep the heart ticker in there anymore. He has an entire crate of toys he BARELY touches solely because he loves the Snuggle Puppy so much. It is on the pricey side for a dog toy and he's currently on his fourth Snuggle Puppy because he's chewed off the ears and noses on the other ones, but seeing how attached he is to the puppy and how happy it makes him, it's 100% worth it. Truly cannot recommend this enough.

Get it from Amazon for $38.26+ (available in five colors).

    27. A pet hair roller because everything about our little friends is absolutely perfect except for the fact that their fur and hair get on everything we own. But we still love them, right?

On the top, a dog bed covered in fur, and on the bottom, the same dog bed looking clean
A reviewer holding a clump of dog fur after using the roller

Promising review: "Where has this been all my cat-loving life? Sticky rollers work fine for clothes, but this is the only product that has ever COMPLETELY removed all the cat hair from my bed. I have a long-haired, 20-pound tabby, and if you run your hands up his back a few times and fling the hair everywhere, it looks like it's snowing — he never stops shedding no matter what I do. After using the ChomChom, I can put on a black dress and roll around on my bed and not get a single hair on me. It's absolutely amazing. Everyone is getting one for Christmas, even if they don't have a pet. I don't care; it's THAT good." —Stephanie

Get it from Amazon for $31.95.

    28. And a pet hair-removal broom and squeegee that'll help you get rid of the furry mess your fluffy friend leaves behind on your carpet. It might not be visible to the naked eye, but you just KNOW it's living in there...and TBH...it's quite gross.

reviewer photo of half their carpet covered in fur and the other half clean after using the broom
    Another pile of fur

Promising review: "This thing just plain works. We got a mature golden retriever last year and were told he didn't shed. Then in the spring, he started shedding badly. We were tired of hair everywhere, and somehow I realized that dragging my shoe across the carpet balled the hair up. I found this product on a whim one day and knew it had to be better than my shoe! I ordered it and it was tough at first. The bristles pulled the hair up but then caught the tufts and spread them around. I found that using short, quick strokes with the rake turned upside-down got the best results. The backside is more like a squeegee and helps pull the hair up in long rolls and keeps the hair in one big pile." —Nick V.

Get it from Amazon for $16.99.

    29. Or if you prefer cleaning with a vacuum, a handheld Bissell Pet Hair Eraser you're gonna be so thankful for.

Features multilayered filtration and a 16-foot power cord. Includes two specially designed nozzles to pull out dirt and hair from areas like the stairs and upholstery.

Promising review: "Holy crap!! Are you skeptical when it comes to buying stuff online? ME TOO! That's why I figured all of these rave reviews were a crock of crap. I've seriously bought every kind of vacuum out there. But I have four cats and a golden retriever, so I was getting desperate! I believe the saying is…a picture is worth a thousand words. Check mine out! Of note: The 'before' picture was taken of my dog's bed AFTER it went through the washer and dryer. Look at all of that left-behind hair!!! And the 'after' picture was taken after only THREE MINUTES spent vacuuming her bed. I. Am. SOLD! BTW, I've NEVER taken the time to review a product before, just FYI." —Luka Chan

    30. A dog car seat to ensure they have a safe spot to sit when they accompany you on winter roadtrips. Plus, it'll feel nice and cozy for them!

Promising review: "Bought it ahead of time before getting my new rescue dog. She loved it from the start. I lined it with an old towel just in case of an accident, but she did great. She is 8 pounds and it fits her perfectly. She has enough room to fall asleep in it and it would be great on a long trip. She wears a harness, so I like that I can clip her in for extra safety." —kimberly r lee

Get it from Amazon for $39.99+ (available in three colors).

    31. An antiseptic spray that'll help treat skin infections caused by yeast, bacteria, ringworm, and pyoderma.

Promising review: "Do your dogs smell like bread dough? Or Fritos? Do their ears smell REALLY bad? Do they lick their paws often? Do they bite their legs, back, hips, or hind end? Do they lick their bellies often? Have you noticed small, scablike spots in their undercarriage? Brown spots on their skin? Red skin? Or the ultimate — a darkening of the skin that rubs off? If so, then your dogs probably have a yeast problem, which you might not ever have heard of, but this spray will provide instant relief! Most doctors first diagnose yeast problems simply by smell, so save yourself the vet bill and try this first! You can't get rid of it just by giving them a bath — you need a medicated shampoo or spray like this in order to effectively manage the yeast, and you have to use it for at least three months. I know it seems like a long time, but trust me, I learned the hard way. Yes, veterinarians can also diagnose by scraping skin cells and looking at them under a microscope, but generally they will diagnose a yeast infection in dogs simply by smelling them. Most pet owners never even know that dogs can get yeast infections. I didn't know, and I've had dogs for at least 15 years. This spray is the same strength you would get from a veterinarian's office, but without the cost of that bill. I highly, highly, highly recommend this spray for treating yeast and fungal infections in dogs. I'll try to update with more symptoms and photos as I can and as I think of them. I didn't take a lot of photos when I started treating the dogs and when they started having problems, but I'm always happy to help other pet owners navigate this horrible, horrible affliction. If you have any questions, feel free to ask — I'd rather help others so they can get their pets treated right the first time and for a fraction of the cost of going to the vet." —Amazoncustomer

    32. Pet tearstain combs for simple removal of crust and mucus around your pup's eyes.

same reviewer's dog now showing the area around their eyes is clean after using the comb

Promising review: "My cockapoo had tearstaining as a pup, but as an adult, he just gets that goop in the corner of his inner eyes. Sometimes I don’t catch the goop fast enough and it hardens in his muzzle. Even when I do, the goop is slimy and difficult to remove, even with dog wipes. This tool is a miracle! Small, lightweight, and a good value for the price. Just one comb-through and I got the sticky wet goop. A few more comb-throughs and I found eye gunk that was buried in his muzzle. Most importantly, this comb removed the debris without causing any discomfort to my pooch. In fact, he seemed to enjoy it! Just look at the pictures." —Joanna

A dog's feet looking wet and dirty

In one quick rub, it gets most of the water and mud off their paws and legs so no more muddy paw prints on my floors! Great shape. May seem weird, but it’s perfect for drying your dog! I have two poodle-mix dogs, and I use one towel to dry both their paws and legs when they come inside. Haven’t had the chance to use it when their whole bodies are wet, but I can only assume this will definitely do the job! I used to do two loads of towels a day anytime it would rain, but now I only need this one small towel! Will be purchasing another!" —Caitlin
