    Interviewing Ginny Weasley-Potter

Hi guys! Some characters just stay with you. You’ve lived vicariously through them and it hurts to not be with them once everything’s ended or know how’s life fairing out for them. So I often use the art of jouska to satisfy my hungry imagination. Here’s one from the sassiest, chichest and the most brilliantly potrayed female lead I’ve come across.

" You sort of start thinking anything's possible.once you have the nerve for it." -Ginny Weaseley.

Ginevra Weasley-Potter (famous as Ginny) has always been a badass. Though she admits that motherhood has softened her a bit, she still possesses her savage streak nevertheless. For most of the wizarding world and hardened Quidditch fans, she will always be Ginny Weasley, the girl with auburn hair and bright brown eyes who married the famous Harry Potter and played for the Quidditch team Holyhead harpies, but sitting before me is a conscientious senior Quidditch correspondent talking about life; 19 years after the Second Wizarding War and how she never feared being pigeonholed as just a trophy wife.

Over a peppermint tea at Maison Bertaux in Soho, she starts her interview by making it clear that no question about her husband and their romance will be entertained. "It’s like you’re this IT couple who’s constantly under limelight and Harry has had that enough. Our wedding was such a hyped affair we thought eloping would be a better idea.”

She just bid goodbye to her son Albus -Severus Potter who left for Hogwarts just a few days back. “It’s so much harder than you can imagine.” says Ginny.” One day they’re tiny and playing in your arms and the next they receive their letter. A whole lot of excitement in the air but a bit toned down than what it used to be at my place. Lily misses them a lot. I can imagine that, growing up with six brothers and being the youngest of them all. Although they drive you to insanity, it was better with mum yelling at them rather than me.” She adds cheekily.

Talking about her career in Quidditch, she credits her brothers and their infectious love for the sport. “ I have seen them play, talk and breathe quidditch. Most of the holidays were spent practicing once Ronald And I made to the Gryffindor team. Also, Harry was a great coach and a mentor.”

So how exactly did this love shape into a career and pat comes the reply.” Well I thought it was about time, there was a Weasley in the world of Quidditch. I’ve always been a Chaser; that’s how I see myself; professionally and personally.”

Currently she works for the daily prophet and there are whispers she’s eyeing for the coveted title of the sports editor. She also helps her brother with their family business Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes which has become a huge hit with the Hogwarts students. “Most of the products had been banned earlier so we’re trying to keep hexes and spells more of, um, teacher-friendly! I always knew this would become a phenomenon. Fred would’ve been proud.

Moving on to an issue that is dear to her, Ginevra and her long-time friend and sister-in-law Hermione Granger-Weasley have decided to revive Society for Promotion of Elfish Welfare (also known as S.P.E. W) which was founded in 1994 by Mrs. Weasley after she witnessed poor treatment of elves at ’94 Quidditch World Cup. “ House elves have never received fair treatment and they never expected it.We all took them for granted for generations and it just got inhumane towards them. Being a part of Holyhead Harpies and now of the Daily Prophet, I hope I could be a part of culminating Hermione’s wonderful aspiration into a reality soon enough. I mean do we want our children to learn the monstrosity that we have been imitating since years? “ They’ve held several charity events and are progressing to develop this society.

Lastly, I take my chances and ask her to describe her marital life even though she refrained me from doing so. “ Well, I’m so glad I married the Boy who Lived Twice. He’s a bliss. And the world will definitely be an interesting place to live in with the Potter-Weasley bloodlines mixed” she winks. That’s Ginny Weaseley-Potter for you ladies and gentlemen.
