You haven't truly made it until you've had a drink named after you. Along with Sailor Jerry, take a look at some other icons who can truly say they are living the dream.

  • 1. Sailor Jerry and Cola

    Sailor Jerry and Cola

    American tattoo legend "Sailor Jerry," Norman Keith Collins, may have an entire brand of rum named after him, but it's his signature rum and cola that has truly made this icon a household name. Ingredients:
    2 parts Sailor Jerry
    1 part Cola

    Can't imagine anyone who wouldn't want to indulge in a drink dubbed, “The David Bowie.” This now famous cocktail was birthed out of the New Deal Distillery in Portland, Oregon. Ingredients:
    Five parts chocolate liqueur
    One part bourbon  Method:

    The Cointreau Teese

    Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese is the inspiration behind the "The Cointreau Teese."  Ingredients:
    1 1/2 oz. Cointreau
    3/4 oz. apple juice
    1/2 oz. Monin violet syrup
    1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice Method:

    The Tomb Raider

    You may have to travel all the way to Cambodia for this classy cocktail. After Angelina finished filming “Tomb Raider,” a bartender at The Red Piano restaurant in Siem Reap created the “Tomb Raider” cocktail in her honor. Ingredients:
    One part vodka
    One part Rum
    One Part pineapple juice Method:

    In honor of Mel Gibson going off the deep end, the Oak Room in NYC has appropriately dubbed the signature drink "The Bi-Polar Cocktail."  Ingredients:
    1 oz Van Gogh Vodka
    1 oz. Bols V.O. Genever Gin
    ¾ oz. vermouth
    3 oz. club soda
    Splash of cocktail onion juice  Method:

    The John Daily

    This one's a bit of a classic. Known as the alcoholic version of an Arnold Palmer, which is appropriately named after the often challenged, alcohol-loving pro golfer. Ingredients:
    1 1/4 oz vodka
    1/4 oz triple sec
    fill with 1/2 lemonade
    fill with 1/2 iced tea
    ice cubes Method:Fill a collins glass with ice. Add absolute citron and triple sec. Fill glass with equal parts lemonade/iced tea. Garnish with a lemon wedge. Image Source

    The Murricane

    The Anchor Bar in SoHo has a reputation of creating signature drinks for some of their most celebrated guests. Apparently, Billy Murray stopped off one night and they were more than happy to create a cocktail in Murray fashion. Ingredients:
    2 ounces fresh watermelon
    4 or 5 basil leaves
    1 1/2 ounces bourbon
    3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
    3/4 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
    Freshly ground black pepper and watermelon wedge, for garnish (optional). Method:
    Combine the watermelon and basil leaves in a mixing glass or shaker and muddle until the watermelon is crushed and juicy. Add the bourbon, lemon juice and St-Germain, along with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish, if desired, with a sprinkling of black pepper and a wedge of watermelon. Image Source

    Because a badass president deserves a badass drink.  Ingredients:
    3 oz Pineapple Juice
    2 oz. Gin
    3/4 oz. Lime Juice
    3/4 oz Simple Syrup
    1/4 – 1/2 Serrano or Thai Chili
    dash  Method:
    Add ingredients into a shaker, crush the chili inside of the shaker. Add ice, then shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass, garnish with a lemon twist. Image Source

    What's the best way to toast one of the greatest players in the NBA? With a signature cocktail, of course! Ingredients:
    2 ounces of Leblon Cachaca
    1 ounce fresh watermelon juice
    1 ounce freshly squeezed Florida citrus juice
    Dash chipotle-infused agave nectar Method:
    Pour Leblon Cachaca, watermelon juice, orange juice and agave nectar into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange slice.  Image Source
