31? Of Lady Gaga's Accomplishments In Celebration Of Her 31st Birthday

Happy Birthday Lady Gaga. You're only 31 yet you have accomplished so much.

So this post started out like this...

I decided to write a post on 31 of Lady Gaga's accomplishments in a cheeky way of celebrating her 31st birthday but I noticed there was sooo much to get through, I decided to just group them all together. So here is, instead, 15 of Lady Gaga's mega-accomplishments (grouped) as an artist, actress, model, entrepreneur and philanthropist.

1. Golden Trophies: 6 Grammy Awards, 1 Golden Globe, 1 Bambi Award

Yes, Lady Gaga picked up quite a few gold awards winning 6 total Grammy Awards out of 17 total nominations for her Pop and Jazz efforts including Best Pop Vocal Album and a total of 6 nominations for her debut album, “The Fame”. Gaga also picked a Golden Globe Award in 2016 for “Best Actress” for her lead role in American Horror Story: Hotel which was also her TV debut. She also won the Bambi Award in 2011 for “International Pop Artist”. She also has been nominated twice at the Emmy awards and once at the Oscars.

2. Silver Trophies

Gaga currently holds a record for most nominations in a single year with 13 nominations for Bad Romance and Telephone at the MTV Video Music Awards. She is also the first female solo artist to receive two nominations in the “Video of the Year” category in the same year at the VMAs. Currently Lady Gaga is the biggest MTV VMA winner of all time with a total of 13 awards out of 26 nominations.

She also has 10 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) which makes her the biggest solo female MTV artist of all time.

3. World Records

Gaga currently holds TWELVE Guinness World records including Fastest Selling Single on iTunes in 2011 for her song “Born this Way” and “Most Famous Celebrity in the World” in 2011. All of which she still holds.

Gaga has been named Woman of the Year in 2015 by Billboard in recognition for her efforts through her foundation and for her work against sexual assault on college campuses and her overall awesomeness.

She has also been named the No.1 Most Powerful Celebrity by TIME’s magazine.

Lady Gaga is the first person to reach 1 billion views on Youtube. To date, she has a combination of billions upon billions of views. She also was the first person to hit 10 million Facebook likes and subsequently 20 million. She is also the first person to hit 10, 20, 30 and 40 million Twitter Followers! (All this happened less than 5 years after her debut).

Besides her massive hit single sales, she also is the only person with two 7 million downloads (Just Dance and Poker Face). She currently holds the record for only female artist with 4 consecutive number 1 albums this decade for Born This Way, ARTPOP, Cheek to Cheek and Joanne which all debuted at No.1. She was also the first person in the world to score 4 Number 1 hits from a debut album. To date she has sold 59 million singles and counting!

In 2015 Lady Gaga performed at the Superbowl (National Anthem), The Grammys and the Oscars. Making her the first artist to play all of the highest rated shows of the year in the same year.

9. SUPERBOWL 51

Lady Gaga headlined the Superbowl 51 Halftime Show in 2017 and holds the record for most watched halftime show across all platforms. Coincidently, it is the most watched musical event in the history of television. She also performed the show solo making her the first female artist to grace the Superbowl stage without a guest act.

10. Only person who can tribute legends

She was handpicked to perform the Sound of Music tribute at the Academy Awards bringing tears to Julie Andrew’s eyes and also performed the tribute for legendary David Bowie at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

11. A Tour De Force

Earning a total of 500 million in her 3 solo tours alone. Her debut world tour, The Monster Ball Tour grossed a mind blowing $228 million while The Born This Way Ball grossed approximately $183 million despite being cut short because of Gaga’s hip injury. artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball Tour grossed a more humble amount of $83 million although having an almost entirely sold out run. All of Lady Gaga’s world tours ranked among the highest grossing tours of their respective years.

14. Born This Way Foundation

The organisation hopes to promote youth empowerment through anti-bullying campaigns and is engaged in dialogue about making the world (especially for LGBT youths) a kinder, safer place. 15. Social Campaigns and her role in the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell

Lady Gaga became actively involved in the repeal efforts for the DADT act. She is often credited with bringing the situation to the light of the media after holding massive rallies and engaging in many online campaigns. She also met with former President Obama to discuss bullying in schools and engaged with former Vice President Joe Biden in efforts to fight sexual assault on college campuses across America. She usually uses her music to address her causes writing ‘Til’ It Happens To You’ with Diane Warren to promote the cause and also dedicating her entire 3rd studio album Born This Way to bullied youths and to empower LGBT teens. She is also a very active supporter of the “#BlackLivesMatter” movement and is an outspoken feminist.

Lady Gaga told Billboard in 2016 that she wants to explode as she enters her 30s. Given this list, she’s been doing more than exploding. This year she'll become the first female to headline Coachella in 10 years, will film her big screen debut in 'A Star is Born' remake with Bradley Cooper and will embark on an already sold out world tour. The world is STILL hers for the taking!
