Deadpool 3

The highly anticipated threequel is expected to release November 8th 2024 in theatres. It is being directed by “Stranger Things” director Shawn Levy. This will be Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy’s 3rd movie together. The film will also star Hugh Jackman as Wolverine again. The film will take place inside of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

Upstate

Upstate is an upcoming Netflix film starring Ryan Reynolds. Ryan Reynolds will be reunited with his “The Nines” director John August. It was announced in 2020 but there hasn’t been many details about production or the plot yet.

IF/ Imaginary Friends

John Krasinski

IF is scheduled to be released on May 24th 2024. The film was originally called “Imaginary Friends” but recently changed to just “IF”. The film will star Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fiona Shaw and Cailey Fleming. The film is also being directed by John Krasinski.

Red Notice 2

Netflix

Red Notice 2 is a sequel to the 2021 hit Red Notice. The first film became the most watched Netflix film ever in its first 28 days of being released. Rawson Thurber will be returning to direct the sequel and Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot will all be returning. As of right now there is no release date.

Free Guy 2

Free Guy 2 is a sequel to the 2021 hit movie “Free Guy”. Shawn Levy will be returning to direct the sequel and Ryan Reynolds will return to star in it. There is no release date yet but Ryan Reynolds announced on his Twitter that Disney greenlit a Free Guy sequel.

Clue

Lionsgate

Clue was announced in 2020. It is unknown who will be cast besides Ryan Reynolds right now and we don’t know what character he’s playing. His production company Maximum Effort will be producing the film. Jason Bateman was reported to be directing and starring in the film with Ryan Reynolds but he dropped out due to scheduling issues. So we don’t know who the director is yet and there’s no release date as of right now.

Dragons Lair

Dragons lair will be a live action movie based off of the popular video game. Ryan Reynolds will be starring in it. It was announced in 2020 but there’s no release date yet.

Possible Bullet Train sequel

It is unknown if there will be a sequel to the 2022 hit movie Bullet Train. Ryan Reynolds played Carver. Carver was originally supposed to go on the mission of finding the briefcase on the Bullet Train but “dropped out due to stomach issues” as Maria Beetle (Sandra Bullock) says while on the phone with Ladybug (Brad Pitt). There may or may not be a sequel but if there is I can see them giving Carver a bigger role so it may star Ryan Reynolds.

Possible Hobbs and Shaw sequel

The fast and furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw may or may not have a sequel. Ryan Reynolds played Victor Locke in Hobbs and Shaw and in the post credit scene Locke is seen fighting people and he gives Hobbs a call. If there is a sequel Locke could have a bigger role so it may star Ryan Reynolds.
