Should '90s Kids Boycott These Movie Remakes?

With “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” (Remake of the beloved 1995 Robin Williams film, “Jumanji”) hitting theaters next month, I’ve decided to put together a list of classic movies that are, or are likely, being remade soon. Whether you’re a movie nerd or not, if you were born in the 80s or 90s, you most likely grew up watching these movies. If you’re anything like me, you became sentimentally attached to this entire list. Be it children’s adventure, horror-comedy, or mind-bending sci-fi, these 7 movies each had a profound impact on the culture of us “90s kids” and each is a classic in its own right. Is it a deep disservice for Hollywood to be remaking these movies so soon, or even at all? Or will remakes and reboots help to keep the originals alive? Comment which remake you would be most excited to see and which ones you’ll be boycotting at the theaters!
